About IQ Connect

The IQ Connect module provides an integrated eNewsletter, eSurvey, eForm, Facebook and Twitter solution which allows you to manage all of your communications with your constituents and contacts in one database. The Connect module includes the following features:

Incoming E-Mail

This displays a bar graph view of all the incoming email your office has received during the selected time range (last 14 days, last 12 weeks or last 12 months). The results can be grouped by Issue Code, Issue Translation, E-mail Subject, Incoming Date or Incoming Date by Set. Incoming emails that were processed directly into the database are displayed at the top. Incoming emails that were processed into Sets are displayed by Set name. Each row in the bar graph contains a count with a paper and pencil icon next to it. This icon displays a dialog with actions to Find Campaigns, Analyze Mail, Explore Mail, Analyze Senders and Explore Senders.

Incoming Facebook Comments

This option provides a tool for importing posts from your office's Facebook account and the comments made. After the Facebook posts and comments are imported into IQ, you can search for a People record or create a new People record and then attach both the Facebook post and the person's Facebook comment via a Mail record. This allows provides a historical record of both the Facebook Post and the person's comment.

Incoming Facebook Messages

This option provides a tool for importing Facebook messages from your office's Facebook account. After the Facebook messages are imported into IQ, you can search for a People record or create a new one, for any Facebook Messages which have not been responded to in Facebook. When a new People record and Mail record are created, IQ automatically assigns a Facebook ID to the People record. The Facebook ID is then checked each time Facebook Messages are imported. If a match is found, then a Reply button appears in place of the Search button. If no match is found, then you must search for an existing People record or create a new one in order to send a reply message in IQ.

Incoming Twitter Messages

This option provides a tool for importing Twitter direct messages from your office's Twitter account. After the Twitter messages are imported into IQ, you can search for a People record or create a new one, for any Twitter Messages which have not been responded to in Twitter. When a new People record and Mail record are created, IQ automatically assigns a Twitter ID to the People record. The Twitter ID is then checked each time Twitter Messages are imported. If a match is found, then a Reply button appears in place of the Search button. If no match is found, then you must search for an existing People record or create a new one in order to send a reply message in IQ.

Outgoing E-Mail

This displays a bar graph view of all the outgoing email your office has sent during the selected time range (last 14 days, last 12 weeks or last 12 months) and type (targeted mail or individual emails). The results can be grouped by Response, Issue Code, Issue Translation, E-mail Subject or Date Out. Each row in the bar graph contains a count with a paper and pencil icon next to it. This icon displays a dialog with actions to  Analyze Mail, Explore Mail, Analyze Recipients  and Explore Recipients.

eNewsletters

This option is similar to the eNewsletter Dashboard Web Part in that it contains information about all of the eNewsletters that you or other IQ users have created or sent from IQ. eNewsletters are grouped by their current status: Under Construction, Queued for Background Processing, Requires Confirmation Before Sending, or Sent. You can use the Add eNewsletter action to create a new newsletter. In addition, there are actions to Explore All eNewsletter Mailings, Explore All eNewsletter Form Letters or Explore All eNewsletter Images.

Images

This option displays thumbnail views of the image files which have been exported to the IQ Extranet website for use with your IQ eNewsletters. Images may be sorted by Name, Initial Export Date or Size. You can search for an image by typing the first few characters of the file name in the Search For: field. IQ will automatically filter the images as you type the characters. Click the Explore All Images action to reload all of the image files. Additional actions, New Image and Re-Export All Images are available for uploading and exporting a new image to the IQ Extranet website or re-exporting all approved images to the IQ Extranet website and overwriting the existing images.

eSurveys

This option allows you to search for exsiting e-surveys or create a new e-survey for use with form letters or eNewsletters.

eForms

This option allows you to search for exsiting e-forms or create a new e-form.
