If your office receives incoming e-mail into your IQ system, you can use the Find E-Mail Campaigns action to identify and process mail records that have similar incoming e-mail message text. Similar means that some percentage of the case-insensitive sentences are shared. The Find E-Mail Campaigns dialog allows you to select the common language level between 30 and 90 percent. The lower the percentage, the less language that has to be in common and thus fewer possible campaigns.
To optimize the results of the Find E-Mail Campaigns action, it is recommended that you filter the set based on a key word or phrase in the incoming e-mail text. For example, your office may receive a large volume of e-mails about a particular issue and within those may be groups of people that are either for or against the issue. You can then use Find E-Mail Campaigns to locate the specific groups.
Note: You can reduce the length of time it takes IQ to search for e-mail campaigns by setting campaign search rules prior to running the campaign search and also have IQ make (and display) suggestions on how to respond to campaign e-mails.
To find E-Mail Campaigns for e-mail set records:
Filter the set to refine the search based on Text information in the incoming e-mails.
Click the Select All link to select all of the records in the search results on the Partial Set page.
Select the Find E-Mail Campaigns action to display the Find E-Mail Campaigns dialog. Note: The Find E-Mail Campaigns action only appears for Sets that create both People and Mail.
Click the Search button to search for e-mail campaigns using the Common Language default level of 70%. IQ displays the number of possible campaigns found as it reviews the selected records.
Click the Save and Explore button to save and close the search results dialog.
IQ displays the Set Summary with the message text of the e-mail for the first campaign group and any suggested letter responses. The following options are available:
Click the Go button to display the set records for the first campaign group.
Select another campaign group from the Campaign Groups Found list. Note: The last group in the list contains all of the selected records that are not part of a Campaign.
Click the Remove button if you would like to remove the selected campaign group from the Campaign Groups Found list.
Click the Add IMA Rule button if you would like to create an IMA Correspondence Rule based on the message text in the selected campaign group.
Click the Change Data button if you would like to update the set detail data or status of the Mail records in the selected campaign group.
