Searching for Events

You can quickly search for all events on a date by clicking the date in the monthly calendar that appears on the right side of the Daily Schedule page. Use the arrows in the calendar title bar to move to the next or previous month.

You can also search for events based on information entered in any field, or combination of fields, in a record. In this way you can find, for example, all events with a particular topic or status code, those events scheduled within a date range, or even events containing a particular text string in their Summary or Notes fields, or those with a combination of these criteria.

To search for an event:

  1. Click the Calendar tab and click the Search submenu link.

  2. Enter search criteria as appropriate, using the TAB key to move from field to field.

  3. Click the GO button to begin the search.

Your search results appear on the Event Search Results page. From there you may click an event link to view or edit it, or select multiple events and perform actions on them. If you're not satisfied with the results of your search, click the Modify Search link to modify your search with additional or different criteria. You can also use the Modify Search option to add records to those already selected. If you selected records found with the first search, that selection is retained as you modify your search criteria and find and select additional records.

Unscheduled events (those with no date) appear before scheduled events; events with no start times appear before events of the same day with start times; events with no end times appear before events of the same day with end times.

Use the scroll bar, the PAGE DOWN key, the TAB key, or the DOWN ARROW key to move to the bottom of the Event Search Results page. Click the > link to view the next page or the < link to view the previous page. To go to the end of the list, click the >> link; to return to the beginning of the list, click the << link. Links are unavailable if there are no additional pages or if you’re at the end or beginning of the list.
