Creating Custom Fields

Intranet Quorum provides standard fields for data entry in all modules. In addition, custom fields can be added to most types of records in order to allow you to track information specific to your organization or office. Different types of fields (edit-able text, read-only text, numeric, date/time, check boxes, drop-down lists or pop-up tables) can be defined and can vary according to the required field size; restrictions or limitations on the data that can be entered in the field, tool tips, buttons, hyperlinks, and other HTML features, and show/hide capability. Custom fields can be highlighted with color. Text fields can be set to use Spell Checker.

Custom fields can be used in building criteria based lists for People, Mail, and Workflow records. With the proper setup, custom address fields can be populated with geocoding data when incoming emails are processed by IQ and result in the creation or updating of People records.

You can also use custom fields as merge codes in form letters and select custom fields when exporting People records from your IQ database.

Contact your IT Consultant to enable custom fields for your IQ system. Once your IQ user-id has been granted access to Security Lock #112, you can access the Custom Fields submenu in the Admin module.
