Posting Set Records

Posting set records removes them from the set. When mail records are associated with records in the set, posting also saves and associates the mail with the People record. When posting mail records, you can place records in a batch or post them without batching. Posting without batching will require that you locate the mail records later for processing.

To post set records:

  1. Search for the set containing the records to be posted.

  2. Click the Select All link at the top of the Full Set page, or if you want to post selected records, select the check box next to those records. You can also filter the set to find specific records.

  3. Select the Change Detail Data/Status action.

  4. Click in the Status field and select one of the following options. Note: If you're posting an "Only People" set, the only option in this field is Posted.

  1. The Mail Status field defaults to the status selected in your user Preferences. If you did not select a default, IQ will use Approved.

  2. The Mail Priority field defaults to 0 - None. Click in this field and select another priority if needed.

  3. If you selected Posted with Batch or Posted in Background with Batch in the Status field, then select one of the following Batch Change options:

  1. Click the Save button to post the records and remove them from the set.

Note: IQ uses the user's preference to update the Salutation when posting Set records.
