Changing Data

You can use the Change Data action to make changes to the following standard People fields: Prefix, Suffix, Email Preferred, Comments, District, Precinct, City, State, County, Org1 and Org2 for selected People records. If your office uses custom fields for People or Address, they will appear as well. Your IQ user-id must have access to Security Lock #22 in order to use the Change Data action.

To change data for selected People records:

  1. Search for the records you want to update using the People Advanced Search or a People List.

  2. When the records appear on the Search Results page, click the Select All link at the top of the page to select the check boxes next to all records found. If you want to update only selected records, select the check box next to those records.

  3. Select the Change Data action.

  4. Click in the Change Value field and select the field that you want to update.

  5. Type the value that you want to update in the From field or leave it blank if you want to add a new value.

  6. Type the new value in the To field or leave it blank if you want to remove an existing value.

  7. Click the Save button and click OK to confirm.

Note: The From and To values are case and punctuation sensitive. For example, if you enter Mr. in the From field, IQ will not update the values Mr, MR., MR, mr or mr. So you may have to perform multiple updates in order to update all of the different values in your IQ database. In addition, if you update the District, Precinct, City or County fields, IQ will update the matching value in ALL addresses for the selected People records.
