Attaching Files to an Event

You can attach documents, images, and other files to an event.  Any user can view the attachment from the Attachments panel of the event record or the Daily Schedule page. The maximum allowable attached file size for your office can be set in your IQ System Configuration Settings. Note: All attached files are automatically attached to the Outlook Event when you select the option to synchronize the IQ Event with Outlook.

To attach one or more local files to an event record:

  1. Access an existing event.

  2. On the Event Record page, select the Attach File action to go to the Attach File to Event dialog.

  3. Click the Browse button. IQ displays the Choose File to Upload dialog.

  4. Highlight the filename you want to attach and click the Open button to return the selected file to the File Name field.

  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until you have selected all of the files you would like to attach.

  6. Click the Attach button to upload the file(s) to the server and attach it to the event record.

  7. IQ displays "Please Wait" while it uploads the file(s) and then refreshes the Attachments panel to display the attached file(s).

You can also view the attached files by clicking the paper clip icon next to the event summary in the Event column of the Daily Schedule page. If there is only one file attached to the event, IQ will automatically open it. If there are two or more files attached, IQ will display the Attachments panel.
