How CSZ Codes Work

When you type a CSZ (City-State-Zip) code in the City field of a record, all other related information that you've entered for that code, including the state, five- and four-digit Zip codes, precinct, county, and Congressional district, is entered in the appropriate fields. If your office is configured to use Address Checker, the standard Postal Service address information is used instead. However, for cities where Postal Service information is not acceptable to your office (for example where you do not like the Postal Service’s capitalization, punctuation, or spacing of words in a city name), you can create a CSZ code for the city. Your System Configuration settings can tell IQ to check for a CSZ code first and use it instead of the Postal Service information.
