Reassigning Multiple Workflows

There may be instances when you want to re-queue or reassign all or a large number of workflows from one user to another, for example when a staff member leaves or is assigned a different caseload. You will not see the Reassign action if the Allow Reassign Users setting in the workflow template is set to No or if your user-id has not been granted access to Security Lock #80. Note: The workflows must be open in order to reassign them to another user or group.

To reassign multiple open workflow records from one user to another:

  1. Search for the open workflow records you want to reassign.

  2. On the Search Results page, select the check box next to individual records or click the Select All link to reassign all found workflows.

  3. Select the Reassign action to go to the Reassign Workflow dialog box.

To re-queue workflow records to one or more users, enter their names in the User field.

To re-queue workflow records to one or more groups, enter the groups in the Group field.

If this is a secured record, only users with Full or Edit access to the record are available for reassignment.

  1. Click the Reassign button.

  2. Click OK in response to the notification prompt.

A Step Note is added to each updated workflow indicating the user who performed the reassignment, the date and time of this action, and the user(s) to whom the workflow was queued or assigned.
