Changing a Workflow Template

You can change any attributes of an existing workflow template, including its name.

To change a workflow template:

  1. Click the Workflow tab.

  2. Click the Templates submenu link.

  3. On the Workflow Templates listing, find the template you want to edit and click its name link.

  4. On the Workflow Template Record page, click a tab to go to the panel that contains the information or action that you want to change.

  5. Select the Save and Close action.

If you change step applications, your changes appear in all corresponding open steps in existing workflows. If you add step applications, new applications appear for new and existing workflows. If you change data fields, changes appear for new and existing workflows. If you archive a data field, the field remains in those workflows in which it contained data. The archived field does not appear for new workflows or for existing workflows where there was no data in the field.

Workflow Templates Listing

By default, this page lists active workflow templates that have not been archived and are currently available to users. Select the Show Archived action to limit the display to only archived workflow templates. Select the Show All action to display all templates regardless of status. Click any Template Name link to view or edit that template.

Click a column heading link to sort the templates by template name, template ID, validation, active, number of steps, usage, created or modified dates. Actions on this page let add, copy or import a template as well as add a workflow record.
