When a template with roles is used to create a workflow, you can assign those roles to People records that are attached to the workflow. This is especially useful when large numbers of People records are attached to a workflow. One of the most common uses of people roles is for meeting management&emdash;to identify invitees, attendees, those who need follow-up information, and so forth.
To create a role:
Click the Roles tab in the Workflow Template Record page.
On the Roles panel, type the roles in the fields provided and in the order in which you want them to appear for selection in the workflow record.
Select the Save and Close action. The roles will appear for selection in any workflow you create with this template. Selected Roles are displayed in the Workflow Search results page and the Workflow panel of the People record.
It is important to note that if you change the wording of a role, the role is changed for all people attached to existing workflows who have that role. If you remove a role (by clearing the field), the role is removed from all people attached to existing workflows who have that role.
