Re-Executing a List

When you run a select, IQ searches the existing database for all records that meet the select criteria. Because the records in the database can change every day, the list that results from running a select can change from day to day. For this reason, if you’re using an existing list for a mailing or report, you should run the selection again to find all records currently in the database that meet the criteria.

To re-execute a select list:

  1. Search for the list.

  2. Select the check box next to the list or lists you want to re-execute.

  3. Select the Execute action.

  4. The Execute Lists dialog displays the names of the selected lists. Click in the Execute In field and select on of the following:

  1. Click the Submit button.

  2. The Execute Lists dialog displays the updated count for each selected list.

Note: Use the Verify Count action, which is available in the List Record page, if you want to remove records from the list that have been deleted or merged since the last time that the list was executed without adding additional records to the list.
