Copying a List

You can create a new list that's based on the same criteria as an existing list by copying the existing list to a new list and then modifying the criteria for the new list. Note that this option copies only the criteria and thus only applies to Criteria Based lists. The new "list" contains no records until it is executed.

To copy a list:

  1. Search for the list you want to copy.

  2. Select the check box next to the list you want to copy.

  3. Select the Copy One List action. IQ displays the message "Copy Completed".

  4. Click the OK button to open the List Record page for the copied list.

  5. IQ automatically enters a new name for the copied list in the Name field and copies the Owner, Execution Filter, Sort, Expiration Date, Description, Usage and Template from the copied list. Make changes to these fields, as needed.

  6. Click the Edit Query tab and make changes to the criteria, as needed.

  7. Select the Save action to save any changes.

  8. Select the Execute action to run the list.

  9. Click the Submit button in the Execute Lists dialog to execute the list in the Foreground Now.

  10. IQ displays the number of records found when the select is completed.

  11. Click the Close button to close the Execute Lists dialog

  12. Select the Close action to close the List Record page.
