When records are merged during the Manual Merge process, IQ stores information about the merged records in a table in your IQ database. This allows the merged People records and their associated Mail and Workflow records to be restored. Any associated Board information is not restored. This feature only applies to manual merge and not to records merged during an automated merge. The Manual Merge Recovery submenu link only appears if your user-id has been granted access to Security Lock #6.
To recover manually merged People records:
Click the People tab, and then click the Manual Merge Recovery submenu link.
Enter search criteria to locate a specific record(s) or leave blank and click the Go button to find ALL records.
A list of merged records with information about the Merged and Target People records, who performed the merge and date and time of the merge.
Select the check box next to the record or records you want to restore and then select the Recover action.
IQ displays a message with the number of recovered records. Click the OK button to close the message.
Note: If a Target People record is subsequently merged into another People record, then any of its merged people records cannot be restored until the subsequent merge is restored. In addition, any new data added to the Target record after a Manual Merge would remain in the Target record after a restore. If the new data belongs to the restored People record, then you will need to remove it from the Target record and add it to the restored record.
