When an Auto Merge is run as a two-step process, you can remove any of the sets shown on the Detail Report from the list of records to be merged and householded during the second step.
To exclude records from an Auto Merge:
Run the Auto Merge and select the Compile Only action.
When the Compile step is finished, access the Automated Merge record and click the Exclusions tab.
Type the Set ID number (as shown on the Detail Report ) of each set, that you don't want to merge or household, in the Add Sets to Above Exclusion List field and press the TAB key. When you select the Merge/Household action to launch Step 2, the remaining records (those not excluded) will be merged or householded.
You can return to the Exclusions panel in the Auto Merge record to exclude additional sets at any time before you run the second step of the Auto Merge.
