Deleting an Event

In addition to canceling an event by changing its status to Canceled, which retains the event record but lets you remove it from reports, you can delete an event from a calendar. Your IQ user-id must have access to Security Lock #160 and have owner or editor access to the calendar you are deleting the events from.

To delete an event:

  1. Search for the event you want to delete by selecting a date on the Daily Schedule calendar or by searching for it.

  2. On the Daily Schedule or Search Results page, select the check box next to the event or events you want to delete and then select the Delete action.

  3. Click the Delete from this Calendar button to delete the event that appears in the Delete Event dialog box.

If you've selected multiple events for deletion, the next event appears for delete confirmation. Use the Skip button to keep the event and move to the next one.

If the event was scheduled for more than one calendar, click the Delete from All Calendars button to remove it from all calendars or click the Delete from this Calendar button to remove it from the calendar in the title of the dialog box but leave it on the remaining calendars.

You can also delete an event from the Event Record page by selecting the Delete action and clicking OK to confirm.

When you delete events that have been synchronized to an Outlook calendar, they are automatically deleted from that calendar as well. Use the Remove from Outlook action if you only want to delete the event from the Outlook calendar.
