Using IQ Help

Intranet Quorum provides complete online help that provides step-by-step instructions for all major procedures.

To access Help:

  1. Click the Help link that appears at the top of the page. IQ opens another browser window to display the main Help page. To exit Help and return to IQ, close the browser window.

Online Help appears in a two-pane frame with tabs and links that let you access related help topics. There are three ways of finding help on IQ topics: Contents, Index, and Search. In addition, a Glossary provides short definitions of commonly used terms. Buttons for these help areas are above the two panes.

While viewing a help topic, use the scroll bar to move through the topic if it's longer than a page. Click the > button to view the next topic in the book or the < button to view the previous topic in the category. These buttons are located at the top of the left pane. Click the Back button on your browser toolbar to return to the last topic you viewed. You can jump to other topics referenced in the topic text by clicking underlined text links.

Contents

Click the Contents button to display a list of online Help topics organized by category. It is similar to the Table of Contents in a book. The Contents listing is most useful when you know the category for which you need help.

In the Contents window, a book icon represents a category of topics and a question mark icon represents a topic. Click a book icon to expand and collapse a listing of all topics in that book. Click a question mark icon or the topic link next to it to view a topic in the pane on the right side of the page.

Index

Click the Index button to display an alphabetical list of keywords and sub keywords. The Help Index is similar to an index found at the back of a book. The Index is helpful when you're looking for help on a particular subject. Type a keyword in the field at the top of the Index listing or use the scroll bar to find an item in the Index. Click an item in the list to view help for that subject. If multiple topics are indexed for that item, select one from the list that appears to view the topic.

Search

Click the Search button, to perform a full-text search of online Help. Type the word you want to find in the field that appears and press the ENTER key. Links to topics containing the word appear in a list below the field. Click a topic link to view the topic in the pane on the right side of the page. To narrow your search, enter multiple words separated by a space (or the word and) to find topics that contain all of the words you enter. To find topics that contain any of the words you enter, enter the words separated by the word or.

Glossary

Click the Glossary button for a list of terms and definitions related to the IQ CRM product. Click a term in the top pane to see a corresponding definition in the lower pane. Glossary terms also appear within topics as hotspots. When you click the term hotspot link within a topic, the definition appears (or "expands") to the right of the term.

Print

To print a help topic:

  1. Find the Help topic you want to print through Contents, Index, or text Search.

  2. When the topic appears in the frame at the right side of the page, click the Print button.

  3. In the Print dialog box, select the printer and click the Print button.
