Make a New Version of a Form Letter
Once a Form Letter has been used in correspondence, you will no longer want to edit that version of the letter, as any changes you make to a version will be applied to all messages with that letter, both open and closed. By default, IQ prevents you from editing a letter once it has been used in correspondence, however there are system settings that may change that default.
The best option to edit the content of a form letter once it has been used for correspondence is to Create a New Version. You can do this from the Form Letter Row Action, or from the Action button within the Form Letter record.
Create a New Version of a Form Letter
1.From the Form Letter List View, select +Version.
2.Select "Make a new version, leave open messages unchanged" in order to edit only the content in the current version, or "Update open messages for all versions to the new version" in order to apply changes to all open messages with this form letter regardless of the version.
3.Edit the Form Letter.
4.Change the Status to Approved.
