Setting Workflow Manager Access

The Managers section on the General panel of a Workflow Template Record lets you indicate which staff members should have management access to workflows created using this template. Managers can acquire ownership or reassign workflows even though they are not the author or owner of the workflow.

To select individual users as managers, type the name in the Users field or click the lookup icon and select a user name from the list that appears. Click the Add button to add that user to the Selected listing. Click the Save button to add all selected users as managers for the template.

To remove users as managers, highlight the name in the Users field and press the delete key or click the lookup icon and click the name in the Selected listing and then click the Remove button.  Click the Save button at the bottom of the page to remove all selected users as managers for the template.

To select groups of users as managers, type the group name in the Groups field or click the lookup icon and select the group from the list that appears. Click the Add button to add that group to the Selected listing. Click the Save button to include all users in the selected group(s) as managers for the template.

Once you've assigned a manager or managers to a template, you can restrict many workflow functions to managers only. This is done by setting Manager Only Functions on the Edit Step page.
