Personal Mail Tags

Personal Mail Tags allow an IQ user to create a unique set of tags to be applied to selected Mail records in the Scrolling Search Results page.  This enables users to easily categorize mail records, while viewing them in the scrolling grid, for later processing. Mail records with personal tags, can then be  analyzed, reviewed, or acted upon with such as actions as Change Data, Change Status, Change Security or Mass Delete.

How to turn on and create personal tags:

  1. Select the Personal Tag Setup action on the Mail or Batched Mail Scrolling Search Results.

  2. IQ displays the Set Up Personal Tags dialog with information about personal tags.

  3. Click the Turn On Personal Tags button. IQ displays fields for defining each personal tag.

  4. Type each personal tag in the Tag Name field and click the Save button.

  5. IQ returns you back to the Mail or Batch Mail Scrolling Search Results and displays No Tag link in the # column for each mail record.

How to apply a personal tag to a mail record:

  1. In the Mail or Batched Mail Scrolling Search Results, click the No Tag link next to the Mail record that you want to apply the personal tag to.

  2. IQ displays the list of personal tags that you setup.

  3. Select the personal tag link. IQ replaces the No Tag link with the selected personal tag.

How to change a selected personal tag:

  1. In the Mail or Batched Mail Scrolling Search Results, click the personal tag link (i.e. Research Further)

  2. IQ expands the links to display No Tag   Research Further    Needs Review from Karen

  3. Select another personal tag in the expanded list.

How to work with tagged mail records:

  1. Select the Personal Tag Setup action on the Mail or Batched Mail Scrolling Search Results.

  2. IQ displays the Set Up Personal Tags dialog with the Mail record counts (pending and completed) for each personal tag along with the following options for each personal tag:
