Intranet Quorum uses batches to collect mail records for processing. Batches can contain letters or e-mail messages, individually added letters or those that are part of a targeted mailing. Batches might contain letters that have something in common (the same form letter text, the same creation date, and so forth), or they might simply be holding bins for any type of mail you want to place in them.
When a batch contains different types of mail, for example letters and e-mail messages, you'll need to process the various types of output separately. Once you have processed all mail records in a batch by printing letters or sending e-mail messages, the records are automatically closed. You can archive or delete the batch once you're finished processing it.
